Description
Cumbias & Reggaetones is an homage, and continuing study of the traditions, mutations, and rhythms that birth Cumbia, and Reggaeton. It draws influences from sonideros, ambient beats, Luny Tunes, and the myriad of cultural innovators from our past, and present in these genres. The tracks were composed, and recorded in Stouffville, Ontario using the Digitakt, JU-06, Tiple, and samples. Tracks 1 - 4 were mixed, and mastered by Julian Carrara at Chiplabstudio. Track 5 was engineered by este pechito ósea me, and mastered by Julian Carrara. All artwork, and design by Juanpi. I wish to thank ESCOBUTT, El Keamo, and Space Primo for their guidance, support, and/or generosity in sharing samples that inspired, elevated, and informed Cumbias & Reggaetones.
